A Teenage Love Story

This week’s featured love story comes from two who found each other in high school. Here are Joseph and Julia, teenage sweethearts all grown up:

Joe and I met our freshman year of high school at Driscoll Catholic. We were just friends until our senior year when we decided to start dating. We each went away to separate universities, but we stayed together during those four years. Fast forward to 2017 and we’ve been together for nine years!

Joe proposed at Gene and Jude’s Hot Dogs (an eatery famous among locals)! It may not seem romantic to most, but Joe introduced me to Gene and Jude’s in high school and we spent many nights grabbing dinner there over the years. About a week before the proposal, Joe suggested we go out to dinner in celebration of finishing another semester of school. He suggested a few restaurants. I chose Gene and Jude’s. He must have known I would pick it (I’m a cheap date!). When we arrived he got down on one knee in the parking lot and proposed before we went in to buy hot dogs!
