We buy all types of precious metals, including gold earrings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, sterling silver, and more. We also accept broken gold jewelry, single earrings, outdated styles, and gold or silver coins.
HOW TO SELL YOUR GOLD?
The process is simple: bring your gold to any of our four locations. We will evaluate it, present an offer and, if accepted, issue a check. All prices are based on current market value.
Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is necessary, though we encourage you to schedule one for your convenience. Please bring a valid ID with you for verification.
Our goal is to provide a check to you within 1–2 days. However, some pieces, especially those containing large carat diamonds or colored gemstones, may need further evaluation. In those cases, our team will contact you directly with a buyback offer once the review is complete. You are never obligated to accept.

The price of gold tends to increase as the value of currency decreases. This means the cost of gold fluctuates based on the market, varying daily. At Razny Jewelers, we base your gold’s value on the current market and conduct a professional in-store assessment to determine its weight, karat purity, and overall condition.
We issue payment via check, which can be mailed or collected in our store.
When bringing your precious metal to our boutiques in Chicago, Addison, Highland Park, and Hinsdale, please expect to receive payment as promptly as possible. No matter the circumstances around someone’s choice to sell gold, we take the examination process seriously, understanding that each piece represents the skill of an artisan and beloved memories of its one-time owner.
We professionally confirm the karat and gram weight of the item(s) and estimate the carat weight of all precious stones. The Razny family then establishes the offer price.
All evaluations are done in-house at our Addison or Highland Park locations.
If your gold jewelry contains gemstones such as diamonds, rubies, or jade, Razny Jewelers will provide complimentary stone removal. We can carefully remove these for you and create a new custom piece that features your gemstones. We can also appraise these gems professionally. Of course, if you prefer, we can simply give them to you to decide how to use them at another time.
Please note if you purchased your diamond from Razny Jewelers would like us to appraise your center diamond for our buyback program, the appraisal process may take up to two weeks.
This appraisal is performed in-house at our Addison or Highland Park location by our trained team.
The amount we can offer is based on the market price minus the cost of refinement. We strive to provide a competitive and fair offer that reflects the true worth of your item.
If the item was initially purchased from Razny Jewelers, we have more control over the estimated value and may be able to offer a premium price.
