Behind the Design
The story of Razny Jewelers began in the late 1940s, when a gifted bench jeweler named Stanley Razny immigrated to America from Poland, eventually working at Leed’s Jewelers in Highland Park, IL.
In 1951, Stanley and his wife Jane opened their first small jewelry store in Oak Park, IL before a partnership quickly guided them to the nearby suburb of Elmhurst. Jane earned her degree as a graduate gemologist, and within 30 years the family moved their store to Addison, IL, proudly placing the Razny name on the front door.
Passing the Torch
In 1986, Stan chose to work alongside his parents, leaving his career as a corporate accountant. His entrepreneurial spirit was the catalyst to the Razny’s first steps toward expansion. The decision was swiftly made to improve on the original Addison location, doubling the store’s size.
In 1996, Ingrid Razny also left the life of an accountant to join her husband and in-laws in the family business. Soon after, the Razny Family designed an 8,800 square foot, free-standing jewelry store in Addison. That boutique remains the flagship location of Razny Jewelers to this day.
In 2002, after establishing a well-earned reputation for exquisite designs and impeccable artisanship, Stanley and Jane passed the torch to their son and his wife. Stan and Ingrid have made it their mission to establish Razny Jewelers as the most welcoming, progressive, and trustworthy jewelry experience in the Chicagoland area. Wasting no time, in 2003 the couple built from the ground up a new location in Highland Park. A beautiful boutique store in Hinsdale, IL followed in 2008. In 2016, the Razny family opened a euro-style watch boutique in downtown Chicago.
In 2018, Razny Jewelers celebrated the monumental anniversaries of our three cornerstone locations; 21 years for our Addison boutique, 15 years for our Highland Park boutique, and ten years for our boutique in Hinsdale.
From our Family to Yours
In 2013, Christine Razny took her place alongside her parents. Christine is an accomplished graduate gemologist who brings with her a fresh, artistic eye and a passion for custom jewelry creation.
Michael, the family’s youngest son, joined the team in 2016. Having too earned his degree as a graduate gemologist, Michael’s skills, experience, and fresh perspective are an ideal addition as we continue to grow.
“When it’s your name on the door, it’s more than a business. It’s your legacy,”
acknowledges Ingrid Razny. “Customers from all over the Chicago area and beyond come to shop at Razny Jewelers. Clients who relocate still count on us to handle their jewelry and timepiece needs . . . They trust us to help them commemorate milestones and celebrate precious moments.”
A Name to Watch
Razny Jewelers is committed to principled watch brands that reflect our inherent respect for excellence and trustworthiness.
It has been 21 years since we became an Official Rolex Jeweler (ORJ), partnering with a watchmaker synonymous with innovation.
In 2002, we were honored to become one of the select few to showcase Patek Philippe.
Marrying our love of both brands, in 2016 we were proud to unveil a brand new Rolex and Patek Philippe boutique in Chicago’s historic Gold Coast neighborhood. The 7500 sq. ft., three-story location is the first exclusively dedicated to showcasing breathtaking collections of beautiful Rolex and Patek Philippe timepieces. It is one of only two concepts of its kind in the country.
Our downtown Chicago boutique makes us the only Patek Philippe dealer in the city.
Today, repair services are offered in-store by our team of WOSTEP and SAWTA certified technicians who adhere to traditional techniques and who understand that each piece is a treasured possession.
For over 65 years, and now three generations, Razny Jewelers remains family owned and operated, providing superior guest services, quality, and value. From our family to yours, we look forward to helping your dreams come true with jewelry and timepieces that your loved ones will enjoy for generations to come.
