Staff Picks of the Week: Marina’s Feminine Classics

Marina’s Picks of the Week
Thoughtful pieces that never go out of style, these are Marina’s favorites. She readily admits, “I love Penny Preville! She’s so versatile. She’ll do anything from art deco to classic to modern, and all her pieces are intricate. They have personality. Nothing is cookie cutter. Each is so feminine.” Marina pulls from her case two necklaces; one is the Harlow Chain and from the other hangs the Openwork Art Deco Pendant. Both are from Penny Preville’s Art Deco Collection. Photos do little justice to their brilliance. Marina’s clients tend to share her love for the designer. “Penny Preville has such a strong loyalty because you can’t find her designs anywhere else,” Marina admits.
Next up, a Marco Bicego necklace, earring, and ring pairing. A true artisan, each Marco Bicego piece is crafted by hand, using the same technique the designer’s father used before him. The brand’s signature is “bulino,” a hand-carving method that gives gold a fine, brushed texture.
Perfect for wedding season, Marina favors bands by Furrer Jacot, a brand born 150 years ago from the love between artisans Fritz Furrer and Lucienne Jacot. “Furrer Jacot is truly one of the best made gents and ladies bands. They’re made in Switzerland, and in two weeks [from the date ordered] the pieces are flown out for delivery. It’s truly top quality,” says Marina.
Of course, Marina’s list of favorites also includes feminine timepieces by Patek Philippe and custom jewelry by Razny Jewelers. To see all of Marina’s favorites and more, visit Razny Jewelers in Highland Park today!
